What is RSS?

An easier way to search the web...

I've been working the Internet world for years. The problem is how do you deal with the information overload. That's why I started using RSS feeds to check up the web sites that have information I trust.

The way it works is the site "post" their RSS URL (that logo in the upper right-hand corner). You copy that in to your RSS program (I like FeedReader the best), there are many, but just about any browser or Outlook like program can do it. RSS-aware programs (called news aggregators) are popular in the weblogging community. Many weblogs make content available in RSS. A news aggregator can help you keep up with all your favorite weblogs by checking their RSS feeds and displaying new items from each of them.
